Pieper Art Juried Into ARKELL 2012 Annual

Scotia, , NY - Rachel Seligman, Associate Curator at Tang Museum, Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs has chosen a painting by
Betty Pieper to be shown as part of the ARKELL Museum Annual Exhibition. Pieper's acrylic is a landscape
titled "Bay and the House on the Point." The Exhibition has become national in scope since it accepts
entries into competition from regional artists and anyone with ties to New York State. Approximately 30
pieces of art will be on display at ARKELL in Canajoharie, New York. An opening gala will be held on
Friday, December 7 from 5 -7 PM and run through January of 2013.

Originals Sold Via FAA

Scotia, , NY - Betty Pieper, artist from Scotia, NY, has sold four orignial small works from her Slide Rock Series featured on Fine Art America.
Although originals are not sold directly through FAA, collectors are given means to contact artists privately which a collector
from southern California did thus resulting in the sale. Ms. Pieper notes that another collector on the seacoast just miles away owns three originals.
She adds, "One year more than half my work went to people in California. They must like my work as much as I love
the beauty and diversity of their state!"

ARKELL Annual Juried Exhibit

Scotia, , NY - Betty Pieper of Scotia, New York, has had two paintings selected for the Annual Juried Show at the
well known ARKELL Museum and Art Gallery in Canajoharie, NY. "The House that Jack Built in the
Woods by the Creek..." is an acrylic of abstract expressionist genre. "Girl at a Keyboard" is a small
oil painting featuring her granddaughter. The annual exhibit is national in scope and was juried by
Joel Chapan this year. An opening reception will occur from 5-7 PM at the ARKELL on Friday,
December 2nd and the show will run through January of 2012.
